Given the dynamics of Southern California’s competitive housing market, Irvine-based Melia Homes recognizes the role that an ambitious and experienced sales and marketing professional can serve in a progressive company. Maintaining the local builder’s edge as it positions itself for continued growth, Melia Homes has appointed Amber Richard as its director of sales and marketing.
Tim McSunas, Melia’s executive vice president, announced the recent hiring, citing Richard’s exceptional sales experience for her appointment. According to McSunas, “With over 12 years of industry expertise and several impressive sales awards, Amber is the ideal candidate to guide our sales and marketing team through a period of growth,” McSunas continues, “Having demonstrated her sales proficiency and established a reputation as a pacesetting leader in sales systems training, Amber has proven that she has the right mindset to further heighten our presence in Southern California’s competitive landscape.”
Throughout her career, Richard has gained considerable knowledge in the real estate market – selling a variety of product types in both up and down economies. She has attained first-hand insight which gives her great leadership ability, and the aptitude to train and motivate others in the field. While formerly serving as a senior sales counselor for the Irvine Company, Richard sold and closed more than $300 million in real estate for Irvine Pacific. She also served as The Irvine Company’s sales systems trainer for the Irvine Pacific division, where she expanded her skills in new home sales by coaching team members and developing and implementing new sales systems for the company.
In her new role as director of sales and marketing, Richard oversees all sales and marketing for Melia Homes’ growing number of Southland communities, including: The Boatyard in Westside Costa Mesa, Anderson Grove in Yorba Linda, The Avenue in Pomona and Charleston Estates in South Redlands. The home builder is also preparing for the June Grand Opening of CostaBella in Eastside Costa Mesa, followed by the unveilings of Manzanita Cove and Laurel Cove in Encinitas later this summer.
Evolved from more than two decades of hands-on experience in imaginative home design, timely construction and personalized customer care, Melia Homes is setting the new standard for superior quality homes with enduring style in the most desirable communities of Southern California. Among the Southland’s fastest growing niche builders, Melia Homes features communities in Orange, San Diego and Los Angeles Counties.
